1. Bondage 2.Foolish Clinging to Life 3. Real Death

Bondage

I delve deep into my mind

And find settled therein

A whole cluster

Of desires, longings,

Wishes and wants

Enough to occupy me

A whole lifetime

In their fulfilment;

Then comes the thought

Am I really my mind?

Which pulls the rug

From beneath them

And they topple down

In a heap, and I'm free.

Foolish Clinging to Life

That we cling to life

Is our undoing

What can life give us

Except pleasures and pains

There is nothing sacred

To life as we live it

We would rather be better off

Without it in the first place

So, let us court death

With all our heart

So that in that death

We may discover immortality.

Real Death

If you really want to die

Stop thinking

Bodily death is no use

For there will be rebirth

Only when the mind

Grinds to a halt

Will the wheel of karma

Stop spinning.
